Star Trek

I just got home from seeing the movie. Loved it. Every minute of it. It perfectly pulls off the awkward task of rebooting the franchise without discrediting all of the stories that have come before. But most importantly, it's FUN.

The entire cast is amazing. Loved the visuals. Loved the story. I have no complaints. I suppose if I had to really dig hard for something to complain about, I'd say Nero isn't the most interesting villain in the world. He was a little bit blah. But honestly, I don't care. It's a fantastic movie. I hope it makes a hundred trillion bajillion dollars, and I can't wait for the next one. :)

Did you read the prequel comics? I wonder how much of Nero's story is in the movie. I thought they did a good job in the comics of making you understand whats going on with him.

I will see it on Saturday. Thanks for the review with no spoilers. Can't wait!

Hey, Brodee --

Yep, I did read the prequel comics, and they do skim over some of the events of the comics in the movie.. But, yeah, Nero comes across a little less interesting in the movie. I do kinda wish they'd done more with him - Maybe give him a little more to do than be brooding and angry. :)

But he's the only weak point, in my opinion... The movie's amazing.

Seen it twice now, and the second time was even better than the first (if that's even possible). The new theme music really grew on me the second time around and I can't get enough of the guy that plays McCoy. He nailed the role.

EVERYONE! and I mean EVERYONE, should go see this movie. Its good action fun for everyone. Dorks and nondorks alike.

I have one complaint about the movie but unfortuneatly can't mention it without spoiling the movie.
