Own a piece of Clone Wars webcomic history!

I'm selling the following six original comic pages:

Clone Wars: "Bait" page 1
(Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka set their plan in motion.)

Status: SOLD

Clone Wars: "Bait" page 2
(The heroes carry out their plan; The droids take the bait.)

Status: AVAILABLE

Clone Wars: "Bait" page 3
(Anakin leaps into action and takes on the battle droids.)

Status: AVAILABLE

Clone Wars: "Bait" page 4
(Anakin fights the droids and loses his lightsaber.)

Status: AVAILABLE

Clone Wars: "Bait" page 5
(Anakin captured; Obi-Wan comes to the rescue.)

Status: AVAILABLE

Clone Wars: "Dreams of Grievous" splash page
(Pre-cyborg Grievous standing victorious on the battlefield.)

Status: AVAILABLE

Each page is $300 and you receive both the original hand-drawn 11"x17" pencil & ink page (created on Comic Book Art Board) and an 11"x17" full-color print of the completed version of the page you purchased (printed on high-quality cardstock). They look great displayed side by side. Please note that the B&W inked versions shown above are not exact representations -- the actual original pages will be slightly different, such as you'll be able to see the blue pencil lines in addition to the inks, as well as light-blue comic page borders, etc.

These are Lucasfilm-licensed originals, as seen in the official Clone Wars webcomic. I'm not sure when I'll be able to sell more Clone Wars pages -- Lucasfilm's been buying most of my original pieces. So don't miss this opportunity!

If interested, shoot me an email at grantgoboom@gmail.com, write "CLONE WARS PAGE" in the subject line, and let me know which page(s) you're interested in. Thanks!

New Clone Wars pages

My latest Clone Wars chapter is online -- you can check it out over here. It's called "Covetous" and serves as a prelude to tonight's new episode on Cartoon Network, Storm Over Ryloth.

It also serves as a followup to my earlier chapter, "Discount," which began the whole Wat Tambor/Passel Argente storyline. It was fun to be able to continue that. Strangely enough, I've become kind of attached to those two characters... They're so random and ridiculous. Wat's like a steampunk Gumby gone bad.

Quick Random Update

Forgive me for being behind on emails, folks. Been super-busy and I'm gonna be away from my computer most of this weekend (I'm in a friend's wedding), so please don't think I'm ignoring you. I'll get back to everyone as soon as I can.

Not much else to report. Just frantically trying to finish up several different things - mostly Clone Wars. Should have more goodies to post next week.

Galaxy Scans

Here's a look at what the boxes and packs for Star Wars Galaxy look like.. plus a scan (thanks, Kilika808) of the front of my base card with the embossed silver logo:

Here's a scan of the back of my card (thanks, Kyle B.) -- it shows the prelim sketch that I submitted for approval before I started the actual final drawing:

And finally here's a scan from the back of a box (thanks again to Kilika808). I feel so honored to be on this list.. Such an incredible lineup of talent. If you were to show me this 15 years ago (or even 5 years ago), I would've called you bat-poop CRAZY.

Star Wars Galaxy is here!

For the first time in 13 years, a brand spankin' new Star Wars Galaxy card set is in stores! :) Run to your local comic shop and Target and grab 'em up before they sell out (and I guarantee they will).

I created one of the base cards for the set, and I did a very small number of sketch cards that are randomly distributed in packs.

Each artist gets back a few "artist return cards" to sell on their own. I still have a few left, so I'm gonna start posting them here on my site, and hopefully I can find interested buyers without having to deal with eBay's selling fees. So here you can see two of my available return cards. They're $250 each and come with signed certificates of authenticity stating that they are one of my eight returns (each card is hand-drawn and colored, standard trading card size, approved by Lucasfilm & Topps - you can see what the back of each card looks like right here). If you want one of these two cards, shoot me an email at grantgoboom@gmail.com.

UPDATE: The Yoda/Padme card is sold.

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'

Two new personal projects rattling around in my head right now. Hopefully in the near-ish future I'll be able to find some time to work on 'em.

New Clone Wars pages

StarWars.com/clonewars/comic

New chapter's called "The Valley" -- should be on the reader anytime now. Not sure why it's late in being posted.

Truth be told, I'm not super happy about these pages. I was sick the whole time I was working on 'em, so... Yeah. Ya win some, ya lose some. Next batch is better.

Star Wars Valentine's

StarWars.com posted up my super-toony Valentine's cards again this year. Go print 'em up and give 'em to your sweetie pie. Here's the link.

Star Wars Galaxy - Grievous vs. Ahsoka

A few months ago I posted the pencil sketch for this card, and now I can finally show the digitally-colored version. So here it is. I hope ya like.

The card set hits stores in two weeks (I'm told Feb. 18th is the release date). If you're new to the whole trading card thing and wanna buy some SW Galaxy packs when they come out, I'd recommend talking to your local comic shop and see if they can put some on hold for you -- or keep an eye on the card section at Target. And of course there's always eBay - just do a search for "Topps Star Wars Galaxy 4."

Other News:

I know I'm a broken record, but thanks again to everyone who's been so patient with emails and commissions and such.

My new 2009 sketchbook "Quantum of Sarlacc" and my original graphic novella "Wolves of Odin" are both still available -- I've got copies right here on my desk. If you're interested, click here for ordering info.

I'll only have a handful of sketchbooks with me at conventions this year and I'm expecting/hoping they'll sell out at each show. So if you definitely want a copy, I'd recommend ordering one.

Thanks, everyone!
I'll be back soon-ish.
